born in 1963 in Goa, He graduated from Goa College of Art in 1985 and postgraduated from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda in 1988 in Fine Art.

He has had three solo exhibitions in Gallery Square Circle, Auroville, 2007, Pitanga, Auroville 2010 and at Gallery Attic, Panjim, Goa 2011.

He has participated in many group shows since 1982, which include the State Kala Academy annuals from 1983 – 1986 in Goa, Karnataka & Gujarat . Lalit Kala National, Delhi in 1986. Syncronicity exhibitions, from 1985-89 in Goa. Circa: Exhibition of Contemporary Indian Art, The Goan Art Forum & Chaze Art Gallery, Margao & Panjim, 1994 in Goa. Ruchika’s Annual show, Goa 2010. Asyco - The Viewing Room, Mumbai, 2010. Works on paper II- Tamarind Art Gallery, Baga.2010. Group show, gallery Gitanjali, Feb.2011. Carnival of colours, Ruchika’s annual 2011.
He was awarded a Scholarship from Kala Academy, Goa in 1985 and the State Art award in the same year.

Charudutta has acted in several plays including Shakespeare, Moliere, Comedia de l’arte, Tagore and others.

He states about his work as: ‘I wonder where or when dreaming begins, for that is where seeing starts, I imagine.

I like things raw. Sometimes, I like things baked or cooked, and there are a few things which are best overcooked. This I know as wisdom.

I should be very satisfied to state that the reason why I paint is, simply, the love of painting!

He lives and works in Pondicherry.
